Hey,
Well what a fab festival week we have had in Arundel. So many new faces and a great response to our new The Vintage Room - Something for the Guys! We could hardly keep up with all you cool chaps jostling for our Harris Tweeds. Lots of familiar faces popped in to wish us well, which was great.
No doubt Hem will fill you in with lots of photographs and happenings over the last 10 festival days.
My one and oh- so cringe memory from this Festival will be when I talked the guys who barricade & close the roads on the Weekend Festival Days into letting me through, as I was late! Well after batting my eye lashes and pleading pathetically they let me through. Great I was on my way, until I turned the corner (no way back) and to my horror they had tables and chairs all over the road! Lots of lovely couples and families enjoying Coffee & Croissants in the sunshine. There was nothing left for me to do, I had to ask them all to move a little so I could squeeze my Mercedes Estate through to Nineveh House. Two kindly (as it turned out) policemen came to see who had caused all the commotion down the road, it did not help that my work colleagues at Nineveh were begging them to arrest me, charming! To anyone who was present and had there morning coffee interrupted I sincerely apologize.
The search is on for all our Goodwood outfits now, we have had to step up quickly with the demand for original 1940's outfits. Some really great outfits have been created, we really are looking forward to seeing them at Goodwood, looking Fine! Also, quite a lot of 60's too with fab little mini dresses and boots. Oh it is soooo exciting!
The chaps are also getting in to gear too. Excuse the pun but with all you suave chaps in RAF no. 1 uniforms or spived up in your whistle and flute it is enough to make a girl swoon.
We are getting in more hats and coats as well as more fur wraps and strolls for those who require them.
Now that the summer is drawing to an end, (no I am not really crying, it is just a little sniffle)
The Vintage Rooms will be changing it's stock, to reflect the chillier times we are to expect now. Actually, I love all those little jackets and boots , how I just love Boots! So there is reason to be in good spirits, as they say 'There is Always a Silver Lining'.
Be Happy.
Love
Elaine x
